Evans (b. June 13, 1981) is best
known for portraying a pair of Marvel
Comics superheroes on the big screen:
first appearing as Johnny Storm (The
Human Torch) in the Fantastic Four
movies, and then as Captain America
in Captain America : The First
Avenger, and in the upcoming
Avengers
Movie. Christopher Robert Evans was born in
Boston, Massachusetts and raised in the
Boston suburb of Sudbury after his
family moved when he was eleven years
old. As a teen at Lincoln-Sudbury
Regional High School, Chris Evans found
success as an actor after receiving
significant encouragement from his
theater arts teacher. Gaining his
initial acting experiences in high
school plays and in the local theater,
Evans pursued his passion for acting
and moved to New York City, where he
enrolled in the famous Lee Strasberg
Theater Institute. While in New
York, Chris Evans landed an internship
at a acting casting office, where he
became friends with an agent Chris Evans' first significant role
in front of a camera came with an
appearances as an actor on an episode
of the CBS remake,"The Fugitive"
( 2000-01). A bigger opportunity came
when Chris Evans landed a spot as a
murder suspect in the popular high
school drama series on Fox TV,
"Boston Public" (2000-04). That
job led to his first major film role in
the comedy film, "Not Another Teen
Movie" (2001). Chris

series of minor roles in mostly
forgettable movies, until 2005, when he
was chosen to play Johnny Storm, also
known as The Human Torch, in the first
of two Fantastic Four movies.
This role earned him some attention,
and he was later picked to portray
Captain America in Captain America:
First Avenger. When chosen to play
Steve "Cap" Rogers, Evans was basically
signed to play the role in two Captain
America films as well as the much
anticipated (by comics fanboys the
