With January 23rd's hard-fought victory over their
ancient enemies, the Chicago Bears, the NFC Champion Green
Bay Packers enter the Superbowl for 5th time. Going back to
the pre-Superbowl NFL Championship games, Superbowl XLV will
represent Green Bay's 13th appearance in an NFL Championship
Game. Green Bay enjoyed the title of NFL Champions for three
consecutive years (1929-1931) in the days before the NFL
insituted a playoff system culminating in an NFL
Championship game. Green Bay has been NFL/Superbowl
Champions a total of 13 times in franchise history.
Green Bay won Superbowl XLV on Feb. 6, 2011 by defeating
the Pittsburgh
Steelers 31 to 25 in Dallas.
