The Israeli-Palestinian Gaza Conflict, which has dragged on much longer than this summer's Israel-Hezbollah War, appears to be coming to a close, at least temporarily. Until a final settlement is reached on their underlying conflict, the Israelis and Palestinians will fight again. Deal reached on Gaza cease-fire. A total cease-fire in Gaza is expected to begin at 6 a.m. local time Sunday (11 p.m. Saturday ET) after Israel and Palestinian factions agreed on a proposal, authorities said Sunday.
