John Robert Marzano (February 14, 1963 - April 19, 2008)-John Robert Marzano (February 14, 1963 - April 19, 2008) played Major League Baseball from 1987 to 1998 for three American League teams; the Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, and Seattle Mariners. Marzano's position on each team was as a backup catcher.

John Marzano died on April 19, 2008 after a fall down a flight of stairs at his home.
