Lucas Giolito's no-hitter on August 25, 2020, the first in baseball during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season was a bright spot for baseball and for Chicago in this strange baseball season, just as Mark Buehrle's exciting Perfect Game on July 23, 2009 served to highlight the long and proud history of No-Hitters and Perfect Games in Chicago White Sox history. Notes:

--Two White Sox pitchers, Frank Smith ( 1905, 1908) and Mark Buehrle (2007, 2009), have pitched two No-Hitters each for Chicago.

--Two White Sox pitchers, Charlie Robinson (1922) and Mark Buehrle (2009), have pitched Perfect Games for Chicago.

--Mark Buehrle (2007, 2009), is the only White Sox pitcher to pitch both a Perfect Game, and a separate No-Hitter.

--Phlip Humber's was the third perfect game in White Sox history and the 21st in MLB history.
