Gary "Tex" Brockette (September 13, 1947–January 1, 2010)

Gary Brockette was an American character actor, an assistant director, a writer and a co-producer. He was born in Denton, Texas.

Gary Brockette began his career working as an actor in New York. He played the role of Bobby Sheen in 1971's The Last Picture Show and Frank Cameron in Encounter with the Unknown. As a character actor, he made guest appearances on such television shows as Trapper John, M.D. and Charlie's Angels. He appeared in the 1984 movie, The Philadelphia Experiment.

Later in his career, Gary Brockette moved behind the scenes and behind the camera. He used his talents and experience in Hollywood in special effects, the casting department, as a writer.

Brockette is survived by his partner of 18 years, Lee Slocum; his mother Marchitta Wisdom, his sister Pam Weber and a stepdaughter, Cameron Kuperson.

Gary Brockette died on Janurary 1, 2010 from complications of cancer in Los Angeles, California.
