Images and Pictures of the German Invasion of Norway   German Invasion of Norway (April 9, 1940-June 10, 1940)--Germany invaded Norway and Denmark on April 9, 1940, and Britain and France sent troops and ships to Norway to help hold back the invading Nazis. German troops assaulted Norway by both the sea and the air, attacking along several points along Norway's long and rugged coastline.
