Thor- --1st appearance: Journey Into Mystery #83 (August, 1962)

Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, made his appearance in the Marvel Comics Universe in Journey Into Mystery # 83 in August of 1962.

The new movie about Thor and his adventures on Midgard will be presented in the summer of 2011.

The new Thor movie is sure to be a box office hit as well as smash with comic book lovers everywhere. Chris Hemsworth is playing Thor in the new movie and his modernized Thor costume brings the comic book character into the 21st century.

The new Thor costume has a galvanized look that makes it less like the comic book version and more like a modern-day superhero. Disguise costume recently released the images of the new 2011 Thor costumes for kids and adults as well as several new accessories to go with them. One must-have accessory to complete the costume is the revamped Thor hammer.

With a new Thor costume and a Thor hammer you are sure to make a superhero’s entrance.
