Herschel Grynszpan--17-year old German-born
Polish Jew who assassinated the German Third Secretary in
the German Embassy in Paris on November 7, 1938. This
killing gave the Nazis the excuse to launch Kristallnacht
against German Jews. His family had been attacked by
the Nazis and he sought revenge. It is believed that
Grynszpan (Greenspan in English), died in a Nazi
concentration camp during the war.

Hirohito(1901-1989) --The 124th emperor of
Japan, reigning from December 25, 1926, until his death
in 1989. He was the Monarch of Japan during World War
Two. Hirohito gave the direct order to surrender after
the Atomic bombs fell.

Imperial Japanese Army, and the Prime Minister of Japan
during much of World War II, from October 18, 1941 to
July 22, 1944.
Victor Emmanuel III (1869 -1947) King of Italy
from 1900 to 1946.
Ernst vom Rath--German diplomat who was killed on
November 7, 1938 by a 17-year old German-born Polish Jew
in retaliation for Nazi attacks on the youth's family.
Vom Rath was a member of the Nazi Party and of the Nazi
militia called the SA. His death served as the Nazi
excuse for launching the anti-Jewish pogrom known as
Kristallnacht.
